Elise is built around a 4.3 inch V shaped panel across the front. The panel is double layered, so the fabric over the stomach is denser than the rest of the garment and holds a firmer line through the waist and midsection. Compression is strongest where the panel sits and eases outward from there, which is what keeps a shaping garment from feeling uniformly tight from shoulder to thigh.

The closure runs down the front as a hook row behind a full length zip. The hooks take the tension first, so the zip closes over a garment that is already fastened rather than fighting it. Shoulder straps adjust for height and detach completely for open neck and strapless outfits. A soft sponge cup is built into the bust for shape without an underwire, and the gusset opens on a zip, so the bodysuit does not have to come off to use the bathroom.

Leg openings end at mid thigh and are finished on the inside with silicone strips, which keep the hem from rolling up under clothing through the day. The seat is panelled rather than cut flat, so the garment follows the body instead of flattening it. The fabric is a four way stretch blend chosen to stay breathable under a full outfit.
