Nera is a wearable belt with two systems inside it. EMS contact pads sit against the skin and deliver low level electrical pulses that make the muscle underneath contract on its own, which is the same principle physiotherapists have used for decades. A red LED array runs alongside the pads across the same contact area. Both are adjustable, and either can run without the other.

Intensity steps up across several levels, and preset programmes vary the pulse rhythm so the sensation changes through a session rather than holding one steady buzz. A small remote clips within reach so you can change level or programme without unfastening the belt. Start at the lowest level: EMS feels strange the first time, and there is no benefit to jumping straight to a setting you find unpleasant.
