The nodes are the reason it costs more. They are larger and driven with more force than the wrap version, moving in a shiatsu style circular pattern that presses in as it rotates rather than skimming the surface. Warmth runs through the node housings and can be switched off independently. Direction reverses partway through a cycle so the pressure works the muscle from both sides.

Side straps let you pull the unit into your body rather than relying on your own weight to press against it, which matters when you are using it on the neck or holding it against a shoulder while seated upright. The cover is a soft breathable mesh over the nodes, removable for washing, and an automatic timer closes each session.
